Value Plus Retail Pvt. Ltd. was founded in October 2007 with a single store and a simple promise — to give North Indian families access to the best electronics at honest prices, with the trust and service that only a local retailer can offer. Eighteen years later, that promise has grown into North India’s largest regional electronics retail chain.
Our Story
Value Plus Retail Pvt. Ltd. is a subsidiary of Vishal Video & Appliances Pvt. Ltd., a consumer electronics business founded in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh in 1983 by Anand Kumar Agarwal. With nearly four decades of family experience in electronics retail, Value Plus was launched in October 2007 to bring a modern multi-brand electronics retail format to North India’s cities and towns.
Starting from Uttar Pradesh — India’s most populous state — Value Plus quickly became the most trusted name in consumer electronics across the region. Over 18 years, the company expanded into Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Sikkim, building a network of 135+ stores serving customers across 113 unique cities.
Today, Value Plus is the go-to destination for millions of North Indian families buying their first AC, upgrading their TV, or investing in solar energy. With revenue of over ₹750 crore in FY2025, Value Plus is one of the largest consumer electronics retailers in India by store count.

Vishal Video & Appliances founded in Meerut
Anand Kumar Agarwal establishes the consumer electronics business that would become the foundation of Value Plus.
Value Plus Retail Pvt. Ltd. incorporated
October 2007 — Value Plus launches as a modern multi-brand electronics retail chain in Uttar Pradesh.
Rapid expansion across Uttar Pradesh
Stores open in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Prayagraj, Meerut and Bareilly. Value Plus becomes UP’s most recognised electronics chain.
Entry into Uttarakhand
Value Plus expands into Dehradun, Haldwani, Haridwar, Rishikesh and Roorkee — becoming the most trusted electronics chain in Uttarakhand.
West Bengal & Sikkim expansion
Value Plus enters East India — Siliguri, Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Gangtok and Namchi — opening new markets in North Bengal and Sikkim.
Entry into Rajasthan
Value Plus launches in Ajmer, Kishangarh, Kota and Bharatpur — expanding the network into Central India.
Solar Solutions launch
Value Plus becomes a registered PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana vendor, launching rooftop solar installation services across UP, Uttarakhand and Delhi NCR.
135+ stores — ₹750 Cr revenue
Value Plus reaches 135+ stores across 5 states and 113 cities, with FY2025 revenue exceeding ₹750 crore.
